About Kristen Lee

I am a wife, mother, homeschooler and massage therapist. Originally from the South Bay, I have made Riverside my home for the past 14 years. I'm enjoying the change of landscape. Being active is important to me; going for walks, hiking, and practicing yoga are all activities that keep me healthy and grounded.

Prior to becoming a massage therapist, I was a fashion designer. It was fun, but being a massage therapist is so much more fulfilling. I enjoy educating people about body awareness and helping them to feel empowered to take care of their health.

Training:

Institute of Physco Structual Balancing (IPSB), Culver City, CA

  • Massage Therapist Training (2009)
  • Oncology Training (2011)
  • Maya Abdominal Therapy, San Ignacio, Belize (2008)

Philosophy on massage:

Massage is all about the client's needs. It should be effective and relaxing. Massage should never be painful. A good hurt is welcome, but uncomfortable pain is not recommended. If pain is present the muscle is resisting therapy and the massage is ineffective. It is my job to gain the trust of my client's muscles so they can let go, relax and let the work balance the body.
